Position Summary: The Department of Mathematics seeks to hire a full-time, non-tenure track instructor beginning August 2024. The selected candidate will teach a variety of mathematics courses at the undergraduate level such as College Algebra and Quantitative Reasoning, be team-oriented, and foster an inclusive and equitable work and classroom environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Teach four (4) 3-credit hour courses per semester (12 contact hours)
* Support student learning and engagement by meeting with students in a minimum of six (6) office hours per week
* Curriculum development and assessment
* Use of best practices in innovative pedagogy.
* Regular, predictable attendance on campus
* Alignment with University mission, vision, and strategic roadmap
* Other job duties/responsibilities may be assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

* A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching is essential.
* Experience with learning management systems (i.e., Canvas) is preferred.
* A commitment to serving diverse, first-generation, non-traditional, and socio-economically challenged students.

Education and Experience:

Ideal candidates will have at least a master's degree in a math related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in mathematics. College teaching experience is preferred.
