We are seeking experienced part-time (less than 30 hours per week) Caregivers to provide non-medical support services to clients.

You will assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) according to the established plan of care. To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about helping others. This isn't just a "job" or a "paycheck." Effective oral and written skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, dependability and behavior are all required for this position.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to adapt quickly to changing environments, be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends and have a never-ending desire to serve those in need.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with non-medical support of ADLs as per the Plan of Care, such as:
    • bathing
    • dressing
    • mobility
    • grooming
    • meal preparation
    • medication reminders
    • running errands*
      • doctor's appointments
      • beauty shops
      • grocery stores
    • laundry
    • light housekeeping
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as:
    • vacuuming
    • sweeping
    • mopping
    • dusting
    • laundry (wash, dry, fold, and put away)
    • kitchen and bathroom cleaning
    • bedroom cleaning
    • trash management
  • Assist client at mealtimes and monitor eating habits
  • Document notes before, during, and after each shift
  • Communicate with clients and families regarding care
  • Regular attendance at meetings and training
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum six (6) months of verifiable Caregiving/Personal Care experience
  • A servant's heart filled with compassion and empathy, and a genuine desire to serve others
  • Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance* and the willingness to travel within the tri-county area (Sandoval, Bernalillo, and Valencia)
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications (will provide training if necessary)
  • Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
  • Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to safely assist with patient transfers using excellent body mechanics and also with the aid of a gait (transfer) belt, slide board, etc. as/if needed and/or required
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen and work-related references
  • Smartphone with at least 4G internet connectivity

(*auto insurance is not a requirement for employment; however, it is required for you to transport clients. If you do not have auto insurance it just means you cannot provide transportation.)
