The Neurodevelopmental Pediatric Division is searching for a Pediatric Clinical Psychologist to join our team. Our division provides diagnostic testing for autism as well as other neurodevelopmental disorders, and the psychologist plays a vital role in the evaluation of toddlers, children, and adolescents. We also provide cognitive testing for patients with complex medical history, such as congenital heart disease, seizure disorder, history of cardio-pulmonary bypass/ECMO, chromosomal and genetic syndromes, and fetal alcohol syndrome. The psychologist also participates in multi-disciplinary clinics such as Craniofacial Clinic and Disorders of Sexual Differentiation Clinic. We offer an awesome collaborative team model with speech-language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, developmental pediatricians, and genetic specialists.

 

Candidates should have experience in administering the ADOS-2, ADI-R, WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, Leiter-3, Beery-Buktenica VMI, NEPSY-II, WRAML-3 and WIAT-4 to children and adolescents.

Basic Requirement for a Clinical Psychologist (Pediatrics):

Degree:
Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting biopsychosocial evaluations for children, adolescents; providing individual and/or group psychological counseling; and developing behavioral health treatment plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12)

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Licensure: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.
