Responsibilities

* Render direct patient care and imaging services in a safe manner
* Responsible for all aspects of the Radio pharmacy to include dose preparation, administration, and disposal
* Utilize various pieces of imaging equipment throughout the hospital, and perform quality control of each
* Use various hospital computer systems to include but not limited to NMIS, PACS, RIS as part of normal day-to-day activities
* Maintain and document all records as required by NRC and DEP
* Operate each gamma camera with confidence and competence
* Assist physician in performing procedures, and computer enhancement of images
* Utilize aseptic techniques, and demonstrate ability to perform intravenous injections
* Consult with patients to obtain a complete clinical history
* Monitor and record all radioactive materials received in the department for leakage or damage
* Perform any and all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

* Be a graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
* NJDEP license
* ARRT or NMTCB registry
* BLS certification

Preferred Job Requirements:

* 5+ years of clinical experience in a hospital setting as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, as well as experience with PET/CT
