Penn Villa is an integrated community providing housing support for adults with major mental illnesses and adults with co-occurring mental illnesses and substance abuse disorders. Within a caring community of current tenants, alumni, and committed staff, independence, personal growth, and holistic recovery are facilitated.

The Residential Advisor provides on-site program coverage and partners with residents in their daily activities according to their individual needs and goals.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Partner with residents to teach independent living skills such as cooking, menu planning, grocery shopping, money management, and personal hygiene.
* Supervise resident medication process.
* Provide resident transportation as needed with agency vehicles.
* Respond to urgent resident issues/emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed
* Promotes a positive and supportive environment.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED required

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Any equivalent combination of client care experience, education and training

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-Time. Sundays 8am-6pm & Wednesdays 5:30pm-8:30am (8 hours asleep & 7 hours awake) & Fridays 5:30pm-8:30am (8 hours asleep & 7 hours awake) totaling 24 hours awake & 16 hours asleep for 40hours a week.

OTHER: Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with St. Luke's policy
