Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough dermatological evaluations to assess patients' skin conditions and medical history.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of dermatological disorders, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer, and fungal infections.
  • Perform skin cancer screenings and biopsies to detect and diagnose skin cancer at an early stage.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' dermatological needs, medical history, and treatment preferences.
  • Prescribe medications, topical creams, and other dermatological therapies to manage skin conditions and promote healing.
  • Perform surgical procedures, such as excisions, Mohs surgery, and laser surgery, to remove skin lesions, tumors, and cosmetic imperfections.
  • Administer cosmetic dermatology procedures, including Botox injections, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and laser treatments, to enhance skin appearance and rejuvenation.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on proper skincare routines, sun protection measures, and lifestyle modifications to improve skin health.
  • Monitor patients' progress throughout treatment, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians, oncologists, and plastic surgeons, to coordinate multidisciplinary care for complex cases.
  • Stay updated on advancements in dermatological research, treatments, and technologies through continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards governing dermatological practice.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives, educational seminars, and skin cancer awareness programs to promote skin health and disease prevention.
  • Foster positive relationships with patients, addressing their concerns and providing compassionate care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a dermatology residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
  • Board certification or eligibility for board certification in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) or the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology (AOBD).
  • State medical licensure or eligibility for medical licensure to practice dermatology.
  • Strong clinical skills and proficiency in dermatological diagnosis, treatment, and procedural techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients and collaborating with healthcare colleagues.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality dermatological care with a focus on patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development in the field of dermatology.
  • Compassion, empathy, and cultural sensitivity in working with patients from diverse backgrounds and populations.
