Description

Purpose of Position

This position is responsible for providing mental health services to our residential and outpatient clients, including 1:1, Diagnostic Assessments, Facilitating groups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
  • Must adhere to all policies & procedures while performing duties..
  • Assist Alcohol and Drug Counselors in recognizing and treating mental disorders and psychosocial problems.
  • Work with clinical team to treat and manage clients with chronic emotional and/or health problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Participate in clinical staffing
  • Assist in detection of at-risk patients and development of plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration.
  • Evaluate client care plans with clinical team.
  • Teach clients, families, and staff about care, prevention and treatment enhancement techniques.
  • Individual sessions

  • Facilitate groups

Position Requirements

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
  • Masters degree in Behavioral Sciences or related program.
  • Current state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Must know and understand the implication of Minnesota Statute 245G, and Minnesota Statutes 245A (Human Services Licensing Act-HSLA), and sections 626.556 (Maltreatment of Minors Act-MOMA), 626.557 (Vulnerable Adult Act-VAA), and 626.5572 (VAA definitions).
