Sports Information Graduate Assistantship

Kutztown University is seeking a sports information graduate assistant for the 2024-25 academic year. The graduate assistant will assist the department's sports information director and assistant sports information director with coverage of the Golden Bears' 23 NCAA Division II varsity athletic programs. This individual will be responsible for comprehensive website management, including feature stories, event previews and recaps, updating scores, statistics, rosters and schedules, and program archives. There will also be game management duties, to include score table and press box management, operating in-game scoring statistical programs and postgame score reporting. Additionally, the graduate assistant will serve as the primary contact for select sports as assigned by the sports information director, and assist with oversight of Kutztown's official athletics social media platforms and the creation of engaging content for each. The graduate assistant will be required to work hours associated with the sports information profession, including nights and weekends.

REQUIRED FOR APPOINTMENT
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Accepted into one of Kutztown University's graduate programs, which can be found by clicking here
  • Registered as a full-time matriculating graduate student (9 or more credits per semester)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Working knowledge of the sports information/athletic communications profession and a wide range of collegiate sports
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Blueframe/HudlTV Production Truck, NCAA LiveStats/StatCrew/PrestoStats, and the SIDEARM Sports web management platform
  • Previous experience with photography and video equipment is helpful, but not required
