Time: Flexible based on schedule and duties

Location: Combination of onsite and/or virtual tasks

Shifts: July-Dec; Jan-June, or July-June

Compensation: PT stipend (bi-weekly)

Report to: Special Services Liaison/Director of Special Education/ Site Principal

POSITION SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Global Leadership Academies is looking for a Summer Intern for the scholars in the school that qualify for Special Services at Global Leadership Network Support schools. This is currently a part-time position that is being offered to ensure that scholars have access to the general education environment.

The responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

  • Assisting Special Services Liaison in organizational tasks
  • Assisting with Frontline maintenance
  • Assist psychologist with evaluation preparation
  • Assist with preparation for workshops and training
  • Other duties as assigned by SSL

  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members.
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Demonstrates punctuality, good attendance, and work ethic for all duties.
  • Responds to requests in a timely manner.
  • Organized and can be flexible.
  • Other duties may be required at the discretion of Special Services liaison, site principals, and Director of Special Services or their designee.

EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPIRENCE

  • High School Diploma/GED or Associates (preferred)
  • Knowledge of how to work with scholars with special needs (preferred)
  • Applicants interested in pursuing a career in Special Education
  • Display of exemplary collaboration skills
  • Ability to follow schedule and work independently
  • Administrative skills
