Job Summary Children#s of Alabama is seeking a full-time Pediatric Neuropsychologist. Pediatric Neuropsychology is a growing service in the Behavioral Health Division of Children#s of Alabama which seeks to provide exemplary care to children from#diverse populations. #Neuropsychology referrals come primarily from COA physicians, most notably from Rehabilitation Medicine and Neurology. Most common populations are epilepsy (including pre and post surgical evaluations)#and acquired brain injuries (mild, moderate, and severe TBI, stroke, encephalitis), and also include spina bifida, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, congenital heart disease, etc. Ages are primarily 5 to 21. The neuropsychologist is expected to see an array of neurological conditions, with some opportunity for specialization based on interests and expertise and clinical needs. This position requires#collaboration with families and#referring physicians to coordinate care and support the child#s#optimal functioning.#Neuropsychology is a rotation for University of Alabama at Birmingham#s#APA-accredited psychology graduate and#internship programs, providing opportunities to mentor and supervise trainees if desired. Education Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an American Psychological Association-accredited program in psychology. Completed internship from an#American Psychological Association-accredited program. Completed 2 year post-doctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology# # Experience Preference will be given to candidates with pediatric experience and training.# # # Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries Currently#licensed or licensed-eligible to practice Psychology within#the State of Alabama.#
