Westland Veterinary Hospital is searching for an ambitious and team-oriented, Full- Time, Medical Director Veterinarian to join our amazing team

Westland Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital that offers specialty and generalized pet care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets such as birds, rabbits, ferrets, and other pocket pets We pride ourselves on working closely with our clients to offer the best professional medical care available. We are a high-quality, low-cost vet clinic working towards our AHAA Accreditation. We offer a wide variety of diagnostic services, x-ray examinations, surgical procedures (including CO2 laser), vaccinations, ultrasound, and routine check-ups. We also offer a wide variety of surgical procedures including Soft-tissue, Dental, Ophthalmic, and foreign body removal.

In this role, the Medical Director (MD) will provide a variety of animal healthcare duties in the hospital, as well as management, mentorship, and career development for veterinarian staff.

Moreover, this individual will ensure the regulatory compliance of the animal hospital as well as develop, approve, and maintain veterinary standards of care for all patients. The Medical Director (MD) is also responsible for ensuring an environment of positive teamwork among hospital staff. Active and productive collaboration between staff members is critical to the success of this position The MD understands they will wear many hats and will be passionate about clinical excellence, leadership, recruiting, retention and advocating for the growth of Mission Veterinary Partners (MVP).

Requirements:

* Licensed MI Veterinarian (active and clear)
* 3+ years' experience
