Job Summary:
Excellent opportunity for a Rehab PM&R physician to join the inpatient rehab units for Johnston-Willis Hospital. Johnston-Willis' therapist-to-patient ratio is lower than the national average, providing patients with individualized care and encouragement. They offer highly qualified specialists ranging from doctors, nurses, social workers/case managers to coordinate and assure patients receive the necessary treatments and therapies.
Qualified Candidates:
* Must be board eligible or board certified in their specialty
* Board eligible candidates still in training must be scheduled for their boards
* Must be energetic and motivated
* Virginia licensure or ability to obtain
* Must have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, physicians and administration
About the Rehab Unit:
The unit treats patients (age 18 or older) with a range of conditions, including:
* Stroke
* Post-operative cardiac conditions
* Cancer
* Orthopedic injuries
* Amputations
* Brain injury
* Neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's
Incentive/Benefits Package:
* Compensation package range $310K - $360K
* After-hours call covered by hospital-based internists

About Johnston-Willis Hospital:
* 292-bed community hospital
* 26-beds ICU with a mix of neuro ICU and 14 medical ICU beds
* 28-bed, 24/7 adult and dedicated ER[BM1]
* 44-bed inpatient physical rehabilitation unit
* Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute
* Brain and Spine center
* Comprehensive Stroke Center
* Maternity and Gynecologic Services with 24/7 OB emergency department
