Licensed Practical Nurse

Position: Licensed Practical Nurse – Full-Time
Location: Waterbury, CT and surrounding towns.
Education/Qualifications: Candidates must possess a current Connecticut LPN license and possess and maintain CPR certification. Home health care experience is preferred.
Shift/Schedule: Days, evenings, and weekend.
Benefits:
1. Competitive Pay –
a. Pay range of $30.00 - $33.00/hour. Full-time employees are paid on a salary basis based on the above-mentioned rate for 40 hours per week, paid weekly.
b. Orientation hours are paid hourly at $25.00/hour, until the LPN is signed off to work independently.
c. Per diem visits paid for weekly visits completed that exceed the weekly quota, at the applicable per diem rates.
2. Mileage reimbursement of $0.50/mile.
3. Paid Time Off – 3 weeks, accrued weekly, plus 8 hours of float holiday.
4. Company Holidays – 6 company paid holidays observed (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day)
5. Insurance – Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage is available to full-time employees.
6. Other benefits – Flexible spending account, dependent care account, and retirement plan (employee contribution only; no company match).
Job Description:
• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Responsibilities include following the plan of care and providing treatments.
• Work collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side effects of medication etc.
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
• Must comply with accepted professional standards and practice.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Demonstrate good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements and is in good working order.
