Description

Anesthesia Associates of Kansas City (AAKC), seeks a full-time Registration Clerk to join our team in the corporate office.

This position is responsible for obtaining and entering patient demographics and verification of insurance information.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures patient demographic and insurance data is correct in various billing systems;
  • Reconciles anesthesia record to hospital/surgery center schedule and contacts provider, the hospital or reviews the patient chart to obtain additional information;
  • Verifies eligibility and insurance for patients;
  • Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA with a high level of professionalism;
    compassion, productivity, and accuracy

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years clerical experience, preferably in a medical office
  • Knowledge of health insurance company policy and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail, organized, service focused
  • Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to learn electronic medical record systems
