Culver-Stockton College invites applications for a newly created assistant/associate/full professor and chair of nursing position. This is a full-time position with the possibility of tenure-track. Preferred applicants should possess or be close to completing a doctorate degree in nursing, education, or related field.

Culver-Stockton College has recently announced a partnership with the Hannibal Regional Healthcare System to grow nursing education opportunities in the northeast Missouri region. The Nursing Program Director will work closely with Culver-Stockton College faculty, staff, and students, as well as Hannibal Regional Healthcare System staff and other area stakeholders to develop the appropriate degree pathways and curriculum for a new nursing program. Key responsibilities include program management, curriculum development and evaluation, faculty recruitment and development, nursing student support and success, and program accreditation and compliance. Once the program is launched, the director will be expected to teach courses in the program and to supervise and evaluate nursing faculty. This position will report to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Minimum of a master's degree in nursing from a regionally or nationally accredited institution
* Experience in nursing education
* Current, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse

Preferred Qualifications:

* An earned doctoral degree in nursing, education, or related field
* Minimum of five years of experience in nursing education, including teaching, curriculum development, and program administration
* Prior experience as a nursing program director or in a leadership role within a nursing education

setting
* Experience with nursing education accreditation processes and standards
* Prior experience with non-traditional nursing degree pathways as well as traditional BSN programs.
* Familiarity with simulation-based learning and technological advancements in nursing education
* Strong organizational and administrative skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders and to serve as an academic leader.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
