Opportunity:

This role will help our company maintain Compliance with Environmental Regulatory Requirements at our manufacturing facility in Kokomo, IN.

Qualifications:

Education:

BS Physical Sciences - Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical or Civil; Chemistry, Geology, Biology, Environmental Science, or equivalent

Experience:

1-5 Years of environmental support in an industrial setting, Environmental compliance, 2-3 Years of supervisory experience

Areas Of Knowledge:

Compliance with Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permits, Regulatory Reporting, Stormwater Compliance, RCRA Compliance

Skills:

Communications, Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), State of Indiana Class A wastewater operator's license, or ability to obtain certification within 1 year (Class C license is preferred), Problem-solving abilities, troubleshooting chemical treatment systems (preferred),

Role Responsibilities:

* Safety, Health, and Environment: Effectively communicate and ensure compliance with: company policies and procedures; training requirements; accident reporting procedures; Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) directives; Lockout/Tagout/Try procedures; Confined space entry procedures; the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); and Environmental policies. Ensure conformance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
* Labor Relations: Effectively communicate and ensure compliance with plant rules of conduct; handle disciplinary situations; provide overtime guidelines; and direct employee accountability and development. Submit Non-standards when applicable. Work with the Pricing Department to appropriately price non-standard products.
* Business Analysis: Effectively communicate and ensure compliance with corporate policies for: the allocation of resources; the scheduling of employees and equipment; and maximizing production. Establish and follow cost-control procedures to remain within the directed budget.
* Manufacturing: Effectively communicate and ensure compliance with the concepts or recognize and serve internal and external customers. Understand the flow of material through your areas of responsibility. Monitor and effectively manage equipment that limits/restricts the flow of product through production.
* Management: Plan and schedule personnel and equipment to maximize productivity. Foster cross-functional interactions between personnel and departments that will enhance operations. Understand and accept the responsibility of 24-hour accountability.
* Skills assessment: Continuously assess the skill level of the WWPTP Operators and improve through training.
* Compliance with Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permit- Treatment efficiency, monthly/semiannual/emergency reporting, sampling quality, POTW relations development, collection systems, training and assistance, understanding waste and water flows in the Kokomo plant.
* Compliance with Industrial Waste regulations: Permitting, IDEM relationship development, collection system, disposal selection, profiling, record keeping, sampling, NOV response, and training (Including all aspects of waste recycling).
