Basic Qualifications

* Graduate of a U.S.-based residency program with current licensure in Massachusetts.
* Board certified in Dermatology.
* Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.

Additional Information

* University requires a pre-employment reference and background screening.

* This position has a 90-day orientation and review period.

Position Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provides dermatologic care to all HUHS patients including students, faculty, staff, retirees, and their families including evaluation, consultation, and management service for a wide range of skin diseases and skin lesions.
* Performs procedures such as biopsies and in house dermatologic surgery including destruction (cryosurgery, curettage, and electro surgery) and excision (suture closure of the skin and subcutaneous tissue) with local anesthesia.
* Collaborates with nurse practitioners and nurse on cases.
* Reviews adverse outcomes and safety events and participates in countermeasures to prevent recurrences.
* Participates in Lean process improvement efforts for the practice.

COMPLIANCE:

* Adheres to the expectations and professional responsibilities of the department.
* Employs the standards, practices, and procedures of the department.
* Completes and complies with HUHS training requirements including HIPAA Privacy and Security.
* Reports non-compliance incidents to the supervisor, manager, and/or Compliance Officer.
