Judicialassistantsare vitaltotheworkingsofacourtsystem.This position performs work of moderate difficulty in carrying out administrative and general office duties in addition to providing varied administrative support for a judge, division of judges, a supervisor, or a group of supervisors. Work involves providing customer service (reception) and answering questions involving services provided by the Courts.

Hours ofWork

* Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Essential Functions

* Performs routineandrelativelycomplex administrative supportand/ortechnicalassistance workfordivision judges
* Maintainsdocketand/orcalendarsystemfortracking and managing cases astheyproceedtodisposition
* Analyzes and monitors theprocessing ofcasesin accordance withcourtrules andestablishedpractices
* Research service needs andprocesschanges ofcourtoperations
* Enters and retrieves dataand prepares reports
* Preparesroutine and specialcorrespondence,reports,forms, anddocuments
* Coordinates arrangementsformeetings, seminars,trainings,and othercourtrelated activities
* Maintainsoffice suppliesincentralsupplyarea
* Reviewsand disburses incoming mail
* May serve asa receptionistproviding information to the publicand as atelephoneclerk
* All other duties as assigned

* Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; two years of related experience and/or training may be substituted for A.A. degree; or equivalent combination of education and related experience
