**Surgical Tech - Surgery**
**St. John's Regional Medical Center**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgical Tech to join our surgical team at St. John's Regional Medical Center. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our surgical procedures.

**Responsibilities**
+ Prepare and set up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for surgical procedures.
+ Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon and other team members.
+ Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery.
+ Collaborate with the nursing and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety and comfort.
+ Perform surgical counts and assist with the safe disposal of biohazardous materials.
+ Assist with the positioning and draping of patients.
+ Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of surgical equipment.
+ Provide guidance and mentorship to Surgical Tech I staff members.
**Qualifications**
+ A minimum of two (2) years recent hospital experience in the capacity of a Surgical Technologist in all surgical specialties.
+ Demonstrates advanced skills appropriate to the role of the Surgical Technologist.
+ Certification as a Surgical Technologist
+ American Heart Associate CPR required
**This position is represented by SEIU Local UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.**
**Pay Range**
$30.91 - $38.62 /hour
