Job Title: Pharmacy Pricing Analyst

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically-driven Pharmacy Pricing Analyst to join our team. The Pharmacy Pricing Analyst will be responsible for evaluating market data, developing pricing strategies for medications and healthcare products, and optimizing pricing decisions to enhance profitability while ensuring affordability for patients. This role requires a deep understanding of pharmaceutical pricing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
  1. Pricing Analysis:
    • Serve as the main point of contact for pharmacy pricing inquires
    • Analyze pharmaceutical market trends, competitor pricing, and internal cost structures to develop and recommend competitive and sustainable pricing strategies for prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and medical supplies.
    • Utilize statistical models and data analysis techniques to assess the impact of pricing decisions on revenue, profitability, and patient access.
    • Gather and organize pricing-related data, including historical pricing, sales data, and market research specific to pharmaceuticals.
    • Conduct data analysis to identify pricing opportunities, trends, and areas for improvement.
    • Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate pricing insights to pharmacy leadership and stakeholders.
    • Monitor and track competitor pricing strategies in the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Identify pricing differentials and opportunities to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
    • Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry trends affecting pharmaceutical pricing.
    • Collaborate closely with pharmacy management, procurement teams, and healthcare providers to align pricing strategies with medication offerings and patient care objectives.
    • Continuously refine pricing models and strategies to optimize profitability while considering patient affordability and access to essential medications.
    • Recommend pricing adjustments based on data analysis, market conditions, and patient needs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with using Tableau is a plus.
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical pricing analysis, data analysis, or a related role within a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical modeling.
  • Excellent quantitative and financial analysis skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets specific to pharmaceutical pricing.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex pricing information clearly.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
