Scheduler Position Summary

The primary function of schedulers is to greet oncology patients at the point of check-out and schedule future visits, diagnostic tests, lab and infusion appointments, and diagnostic orders accordingly. Additionally, they maintain electronic scheduling and cancelation reports and contact patients for rescheduling or cancelation of appointments as necessary. Schedulers use their communication and technical skills to ensure patient flow and provide clerical support to healthcare providers.

Scheduler Position Requirements
  • Previous physician office experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health record, medical terminology highly preferred.
  • Experience in insurance verification, medical billing, collection and registration preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical diagnostic procedures preferred.
  • Computer experience and keyboarding (typing) required.
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.

Scheduler Work Schedule
  • Monday through Friday, Day Shift

Scheduler Benefits
  • At TidalHealth, full-time employees working at least 80 hours per pay period and part-time employees working at least 40 hours per pay period are eligible for benefits.
