2024-25 0.5FTE Academic Interventionist

I. NATURE OF POSITION:

+ The Academic Interventionist shall be responsible to the Principals and the School Superintendent.

+ The Academic Interventionist will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing student learning by identifying academic challenges, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with teachers and parents to implement effective solutions.

II. TYPICAL DUTIES:

+ Conduct assessments to identify students at risk of academic challenges.

+ Analyze student performance data to determine specific areas of need.

+ Develop customized intervention plans based on individual student needs.

+ Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to align interventions with classroom instruction.

+ Provide direct intervention services to students, either individually or in small groups.

+ Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to address identified learning gaps.

+ Regularly assess and monitor the progress of students receiving interventions.

+ Adjust intervention plans as needed based on ongoing assessment data.

+ Work closely with classroom teachers to coordinate interventions and support.

+ Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and intervention strategies.

+ Stay current on educational research and best practices related to academic intervention.

+ Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

III. PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

+ MT Teaching License

+ Proven experience in academic intervention and support.

+ Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and effective instructional strategies.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

+ Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.

+ Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

+ Has a deep understanding of instructional methodologies, and a commitment to fostering academic success for all students.

Primary Location Libby Elementary School

Salary Range $18,665.00 - DOE / Per Year
