Jefferson's Cardiac Cath dept at Abington Jefferson is seeking a Full time Cardiac Cath Lab Tech/ Radiology Technologist (RT) with 1-2 years' experience in invasive procedure and/or interventional radiology preferred.

Primary Function:

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager of Cardiac Catheterization/EPS Laboratory, The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech/ Radiology Technologist, RT will assist the physician and other medical and nursing personnel in the performance of cardiac catheterization procedures, EP studies, and other procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. Under the direct supervision of the RN, performs designated patient care activities in Cardiac Same Day Procedure. The technician is competent to provide care for patient population young adult to geriatric.

Qualifications

Full-Time 40 Hours/Week, Days
  • Associate Degree preferred
  • Previous Cath, EP or Neuro Lab experience preferred
  • Medical/surgical supplies inventory experience and computer knowledge preferred
  • Registered Radiology Technologist or Register Cardiovascular Technologist required
  • Excellent communications skills, Strong interpersonal skills and detail oriented required
  • Must have tolerance for high stress situations and the ability to interact with professional staff
  • ACLS certified by the American Heart Association required

Conditions of Employment

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
