Job Description

Title: LicensedPsychotherapist

Reports to:Behavioral Health Director or designee

Location: Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice Inc. - Sarasota County

5055 N. Tamiami Trail # 100

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, Inc.provides services to people of all races, backgrounds, and beliefs. We offer a variety of housing and social service programs to individuals, families, and communities across ten counties in Southwest Florida. We are currently looking for a full-time Licensed Psychotherapist to serve clients in Sarasota County.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide trauma-informed or trauma-focused care.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with children and adults.
  • Provide psychotherapy via in-person or telehealth.
  • Assess clients' mental health needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Work with individuals with developmental disabilities to address their specific needs.
  • Utilize various therapeutic techniques, such as behavioral therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy, to help clients achieve their treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
  • Attend clinical staff meetings as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Other therapeutic duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Candidate must hold a valid Florida license in any of the following: Mental Health Counseling/ Marriage and Family Therapy/ Clinical Social Work
  • Ability to give and receive professional level clinical feedback to grow and strengthen work with our population and with the team
  • Willingness to work outside professional comfort zone, with supervision, with client population(s) that the candidate may not have a deep history of working with prior to hire
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred
