Sigma Healthcare Team is currently looking for Cath Lab Tech to work onsite.

EMR Used: Meditech
Shift: Mon-Fri 0700-1530, with call as needed

Job Requirements:
  • Assists the physician in performing catheterization and interventional procedures by performing scrub assist, managing/maintaining the sterile field and by monitoring and reporting hemodynamic data. Performing X-ray duties, and providing radiation safety according to the standards and policies of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Receives direction from: Cardiologists, Cath Lab Director/Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Setup sterile table with adequate supplies for the scheduled procedure.
  • Proficient at scrubbing, gowning, gloving, and maintaining the sterile field.
  • Prepping and draping appropriate site per protocol. Connect flush, contrast pressure lines, and prepare sterile field according to physician's preference and protocol.
  • Anesthetize the patients designated groin area per physician preference.
  • Conduct procedure according to the patients and physicians' needs. Inform other team members of equipment or medication used or needed.
  • Secure sheath or sheaths according to appropriate sheath protocol per patient post procedure.
  • Perform sheath removal and access site closure with (AngioSeal, Mynx devices) and manual pressure.
  • Perform skin closure post PPM/ICD implantation per physician preference.
  • Dispose of sharps in sharps container, remove patient drape, discard of waste per protocol and ensure access site is free of hematoma.
  • Assist with patient transfer and transport as needed.
  • Assist with room turnover.
  • Clean and transport reusable instruments to CPD for re-sterilization.
Essential Function: X-ray duties :
  • Follows guidelines and protocol for radiation safety.
  • Adheres to protocol designed to reduce radiation exposure.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Cath Lab Director/Manager
  • Identifies and utilizes the opportunity for Professional growth and employee development.
  • Assists in the assessment of the department's efficiency by participating in the Quality Improvement process.
  • Assist with the following task as requested:
  • -Review charts for accurate charges.
  • -Compile various statistics on the X-Per and MAC LAB.
  • -Revise policy and procedure manual as requested by Cath Lab Director/Manager
  • -Track meeting minutes.
  • -Assist with inventory control by using the X-Per and MAC LAB management tools program.
  • -Assist with trouble shooting monitoring equipment.

Required certifications/licensures:
  • 2 years' experience required
  • Certifications –, ARRT, ACLS
  • Previous Travel Experience (Required)
  • MUST HAVE Rad Tech License
