Regulatory, Environmental and Safety Data Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Matador is seeking an air quality professional with a minimum of two years' oil and gas environmental experience. This position will focus on upstream air permitting, compliance and reporting activities. The position will also be responsible for developing, documenting, and improving air quality processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, to monitor and support environmental permitting and compliance matters. Oil and gas environmental experience preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities:

* Disseminate incoming production and environmental emails
* Assist with tracking field equipment inventories
* Track environmental incidents
* Create check requests for state permitting fees
* Coordination of annual Tier II reporting
* Organize files and documents
* Code invoices and group credit card expenses
* Operate and maintain Environmental databases to track compliance and permitting activities
* Assist with Environmental Reporting
* Maintain Excel workbooks to track facility emissions
* Create and track environmental notifications
* Monitor and process daily, weekly, and monthly environmental reports for internal reporting
* Coordinate with other internal departments for permitting purposes
* Assist with scanning, copying, and filing as needed
* Perform other job-related duties and special projects as needed

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

* Associate Degree in related field preferred.
* 2+ years of experience preferred
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a good working relationship with internal departments as well as outside operators, field personnel and outside regulatory agencies (Federal and State)
* Excellent oral and written communication, organization, and analytical skills.
* Able to meet Federal, State, and corporate deadlines
* Detail-oriented and self-motivated personality with a sense of urgency
* Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
* Willingness to learn new applications and develop competence in any software that is required for the position, including changes to systems used by other operators
* Training will be provided to develop competence in environmental regulations

Qualifications

* Database administrative skill
* Prior experience reporting to EPA, NMED, OCD
* Experience with P2-Merrick production accounting system
