What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for Testing Technicianto join our Testing/Engineering team in Canton, Michigan. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.

The Testing Technician accepts test assignments and performs tasks following a test schedule. Implements tests according to the specification/procedures. Technicians will review test requests, specifications/procedures and review their interpretation with Engineer, Supervisor, Project Lead and/or customer to ensure the correct test implementation. Generates test data, evaluate results, and communicate effectively with others. Addresses any issues prior to testing, during testing, and at conclusion of test, in an effective, expedited manner.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform test requests according to existing instructions, procedures & specifications.
  • Complete technical reports and associated test documentation.
  • Be proficient with the use of the necessary tools and equipment.
  • Suggest and implement solutions to problems encountered with different testing techniques.
  • Elevate issues to upper management when required.
  • Participate in training and train other group members on various testing techniques utilized by group.
  • Request software, equipment, and support as needed.
  • Assist in Quality audits and maintenance throughout the group.
  • Conduct maintenance within the laboratory.
  • Participate in implementing QS9000, ISO 17025, T/S 16949 and 14001.
  • Participate in continuous laboratory improvements.

What you will bring to the table:

  • High School Diploma
  • 0-3 years of experience in testing
  • Familiar with Ohm's Law and Kirchoff's Voltage and Current Laws and able to apply to:
      • Basic test circuit setup
    • Correctly configure power supplies in parallel or series to obtain the required current or voltage
  • Knowledgeable of Electrical Safety
