Position Title: STUDENT WORKER

Responsible To: Program Director

Basic Function: Perform general light duties as assigned as a part of his/her high school program.

Performance Responsibilities:

* Assist in the diagnosis and repair of district vehicular equipment.
* Assist Mechanic in maintenance of a current inventory of supplies and equipment.
* Assist Mechanic in establishing an efficient and effective system of routine maintenance and repair.
* Assist Mechanic in maintaining a record of all maintenance and repair work.
* Maintain high standards of safety and good housekeeping methods in all work connected areas.
* Complie with Federal, state and local laws and regulations for the maintenance, repair, and operation of equipment and machines (OSHA).
* Report all conditions that present safety hazards immediately to Program Director.
* Perform related duties as assigned.

Knowledge of:

* General cleaning methods and materials.
* Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
* Basic record-keeping techniques.
* Health and safety regulations.

Ability to:

* Communicate and maintain effective relationships with others.
* Print and write legibly.
* Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
* Learn and apply safety procedures and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Demonstrated progress toward obtaining a high school diploma.

Terms of Employment:

Salary and work year to be established by the board of education.
