Description

The Pharmacy Analyst is responsible for assisting the Assistant Vice President, Pharmacy Optimization with coordinating, monitoring, and completing routine tasks to ensure pharmacy compliance and performance. The Pharmacy Analyst is responsible for conducting analysis, reporting, and claims research for the pharmacy division. Pharmacy Analyst will assist in maintaining the 340B drug discount program(s) of ARcare, with some responsibilities for data analysis, program optimization, monthly reporting, contract pharmacy program analysis, and pharmacy claim analysis.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Assess opportunities in pharmacy
  • Assist with claims research and analysis
  • Build reports, as appropriate, to monitor and improve 340B Program compliance and
  • Collect, analyze, and troubleshoot complex data across multiple
  • Continue to build knowledge of the healthcare and pharmacy services industry
  • Coordinate with IT for data connections and maintenance of data
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the 340B Drug Pricing Program
  • Develop reports that can be used to educate staff and assist management in tracking the overall financial impact
  • Maintain a knowledge of all 340B Program process
  • Maintain copies of reports for compliance and audit
  • Maintain knowledge of pharmacy practices and processes throughout the
  • Monitor, report, and analyze pharmacy activities;
  • Track financial impact over time, identify root causes of adverse trends, and make recommendations to improve the program's financial
  • Review and refine monthly 340B cost savings reports detailing purchasing and replacement practices and dispensing patterns.
SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare, or other related field required

Experience: Entry Level

Computer Skills

Able to learn and utilize electronic data systems and electronic communications. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Certificates & Licenses

- 340B Apexus Certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
