Student Employee - Learning Commons Assistant at Toledo campus

Job Description:

This position is open exclusively to current Students at Owens Community College who are eligible for regular Student Employment and / or Federal Work-Study.

Learning Commons Assistants support the Learning Commons (Tutoring).

Essential Functions:

* Greet and assist students with the check-in and check-out kiosk
* Set up tutoring appointments
* Answer questions and provide information
* General office duties (copying, light cleaning, filing, student outreach, email, and answering the phone)
* Assist with events & workshops

Skills & Abilities:

* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to communicate well with Students and Tutors
* Operate and provide assistance with computers
* Confidentiality and strong work ethic
* Perform with minimal supervision
* Professional appearance
* Great attitude, dependable, and personable
* Supportive of Owens Community College and the Learning Commons

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
