Boys & Girls Club of Jackson County VISTAs

Our Boys & Girls Club AmeriCorps VISTA Intermediary Project will select, and place 3 VISTA Members to serve with our Andrew Johnson site and our Moss Point Outreach site located in Jackson County for a full year term of service. VISTA Members will be coordinated by Project staff from the Boys & Girls Club of Golden Triangle. Member duties: Depending on individual placement with a host site, VISTA Members will build capacity to alleviate poverty by improving key processes and procedures to increase the overall organization's ability to serve more youth; and conduct research to utilize funding resources and tools to grow and diversify the organization's major gifts/fundraising/donor pipeline. Member Duties : Update the current resource development strategy and implement best practices by reviewing the current fundraising programs, policies, and procedures. Develop an operational strategy that will address the needs of the host site which includes improved hiring and onboarding process, facilitation, program reporting, and federal and foundation grant reporting.
