Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Scheduler to join our project management team. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules for large industrial projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project milestones and deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project scheduling, with experience in Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software, and a proven track record of successfully managing schedules for complex engineering and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or other scheduling software, incorporating input from project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams to establish project objectives, milestones, and critical path activities, ensuring alignment with project scope, budget, and resources.
  • Conduct schedule analysis and identify critical path activities, potential risks, and opportunities for schedule optimization.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against baseline schedules, tracking actual vs. planned progress and identifying variances and deviations.
  • Generate schedule reports, progress curves, and performance metrics to provide timely and accurate updates to project stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and senior management.
  • Coordinate with project teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies for schedule delays or deviations, including resource reallocation, schedule compression, and change management.
  • Participate in project meetings, reviews, and workshops to discuss schedule-related issues, resolve conflicts, and facilitate decision-making.
  • Provide support and guidance to project teams on schedule management best practices, scheduling techniques, and software tools.
  • Ensure compliance with project scheduling standards, procedures, and contractual requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in project scheduling, with a focus on large industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, scheduling techniques, and critical path analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate schedule-related information clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in schedule development and maintenance.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred but not required.
