Extra Heavy Truck Driver

Amentum is seeking an Extra Heavy Truck Driver in the North of Las Vegas, NV area.
Purpose and Scope:
Drive and operate extra heavy-duty equipment.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Must be able to drive and operate proficiently and safely extra heavy duty equipment such as: off road special equipment, transit mix trucks with (3) or more axles or (10) cubic yards or more capacity, trucks and trailers in combination with nine (9) or more axles and loads of (14) feet or more in width, all water pulls/distributors from 1,500 to 10,000 gallons, dump trucks (5) cubic yards and up, trash compactors, boot trucks, bulker cement and fly ash trucks, waste sewage pump truck, anti-ice fluid distributor trucks, snow removal equipment such as air-broom, ribbon blowers, sand distributors.
* Must be able to self-load various manlifts on tilt bed trailers.
* Will be responsible for securing loads with binders, straps, or chains.
* Must comply with all safety practices and environmental regulations.
* Must have computer skills to include MS Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* OSHA-10 card
* Valid Class-A CDL with "P" endorsement and HazMat endorsement
* CDL physical & medical card
* CPR/First-Aid Card, no rehires unless approved by local HR/LR and CE Manager
* MUST be able to meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance (TS-SSBI) and access to the work location,
* Must be a United States citizen
* Must pass pre-hire drug screening and Fit-for-Duty physical
* Must be able to work in a remote location with limited medical personnel and facilities
* Will need to bring: Social Security Card, original state issued birth certificate or Naturalization Certificate and valid driver's license.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
* Job assignments will involve the conduct of work in out-of-doors areas with exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
* Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential accident could exist or exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.
* Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
* Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire and Safety Regulations and published company work rules.
* Individual will be required to execute temporary duty travel as required including but not limited to Target Maintenance and Mission Support exercises.
* Must be able to interact well with fellow employees.
* May be required to work different/varying shifts.
* Must be mentally and physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects.
* Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to unexploded ordinance.

Other Responsibilities:
