Part-time Licensed Practical Nurse

Part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Operation PAR's Medication Assisted Patient Services (MAPS) program in Sarasota, Florida. MAPS provides quality non-residential opioid maintenance therapy to eligible persons who suffer from the effects of opioid dependence. Operation PAR, Inc. is a nonprofit organization.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides nursing care to patients in an outpatient, substance abuse setting. Does nursing assessments, patient evaluations and screenings, dispenses medications and provides the patient with health care education. Works with the program physician and other members of the treatment team to coordinate patient care.

HOURS: Early morning day shift hours. Saturday and Sunday and 1 weekday.
  • Saturday 5:00AM to ~11:00AM
  • Sunday 5:00AM to ~11:00AM

COMPENSATION: $25 for Saturday and Sunday (10 hours) - $24/weekday

LICENSES, CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATIONS:
  • Florida Nursing License
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
  • Must pass level II background and drug screen

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to manage time and resources
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Ability to speak coherently and convey concepts
  • Computer proficiency required.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to write accurately and legibly
  • Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend, stoop and reach
  • Ability to sit in meetings for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds
  • Good hearing and vision
