S308 - Psychiatrist - Spartanburg

Job Responsibilities

With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Spartanburg Office, 250 Dewey Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303

* See assigned patients, including adults, children and adolescents, provides psychiatric

evaluation of patients, prescribes medications

* Participates in the Center's Doctors On-call and evaluates patients for intake
* Provides consultation for clinical staff

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Graduation from approved school of medicine and completion of three (3) years residency in psychiatry with at least two (2) years' experience in a psychiatric program

Preferred Qualifications

Graduation from approved school of medicine and completion of three (3) years residency in psychiatry with at least two (2) years' experience in a psychiatric program.

Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
