Job Description:- PURPOSE OF JOB : Provides seamless registration/reception/scheduling services at the Endoscopy Unit of Doylestown Hospital. Pre-register/Register outpatients in a manner that will result in positive patient relations and prompt reimbursement for facility services. To act as a resource to the Nursing Department as well as other departments throughout the organization to maintain schedule flow. Liaison between internal and external customers (i.e. Internal: Directors, Managers, External: Physicians/offices, patients, families and volunteers).
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Provides excellent customer service by obtaining accurate information in a
- Initiates/Complete an accurate registration.
- Verify patient's insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Secure and/or verify authorization for service in accordance with payer guidelines and requirements.
- Enter physician orders accurately.
- Identify and collect patient's financial responsibility.
- Demonstrates technical skills in computer data entry, maintaining patient charts, transcribing orders
g. Utilizes good communication skills with physicians/offices, nurses, patients, family members, volunteers,
and all other healthcare team members in order to achieve excellence in patient care.
- Accurately registers patients in Meditech software system.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills in all interactions with internal and external customers including patients, physicians/offices, nurses and support staff.
- Actively participates in and supports departmental and organizational quality initiatives and goals.

V. QUALIFICATIONS :
- Education:
- High School or GED completion.
- Experience: Varies based on department and position
- Other Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication and team building skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
Ability to work productively as part of a team
