Eagle Foods products are marketed and distributed across all U.S. retail channels, including grocery stores, club stores and mass-merchandisers, as well as foodservice and export, U.S. military, and private label business.
Responsibilities
* Provides leadership in developing measures and practices that prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards, to include:
* Continuously monitor the workplace for hazardous safety and health conditions.
* Ensure safety and health hazards are corrected, eliminated or guarded.
* Assess engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE on an on-going basis
* Ensures managers and supervisors have the appropriate safety and health; accident prevention; and investigation training.
* Responsible to stop and prevent unsafe actions including the use of unsafe equipment and tools.
* Ensure the results of safety inspections are documented; monitor the investigation of accidents and injuries; ensuring that corrective actions are taken; and providing recommendations for ways to prevent similar accidents.
* Investigate all close calls and other safety-related incidents that have occurred within the accident area.
* Ensure that all accident reports are recorded in a timely, complete, and accurate manner.
* Create and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
* Develop and implement training for managers/supervisors and all employees in worksite safety practices.
* Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures, where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
* Responsible for the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs.
* Maintains safety files and records.
* Perform all other job duties as required.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required (preferably in environmental health and safety) or equivalent EHS experience
* Minimum 5-10 years related experience
* Required experience with OSHA regulatory requirements
