Position Summary:

The Loan Servicing & Operations Associate works in conjunction with Loan Administration, Relationship Managers and Mortgage Loan Officers to provide excellent customer service - responding to inquiries and resolving problems. The person in this role will perform duties associated with the processing and documentation of various consumer loans while ensuring compliance with Bank policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Accurately prepare loan payoff statements, obtain credit related information to accurately order credit reports, appraisals, property searches and other due diligence items.
* Thoroughly review initial loan applications and determine what information and documentation is needed in order to move forward with the loan process.
* Submit requests to the borrowers to obtain missing items, reviews documentation upon receipt, and prepare loans for underwriting.
* Communicate with Relationship Manager, Mortgage Loan Officer, or branch personnel to coordinate loan closing date.
* Prepare loan documents within regulatory timeframes - knowledge of current regulatory requirements relative to TRID as well as other State and Federal Regulatory requirements.
* Review loan packages for completion and accuracy; verify all conditions have been satisfied while keeping thorough documentation of the loan process from origination through closing.
* Responsible for loan tasks that may include but not limited to preparing packages for imaging, assisting with real estate tax monitoring, prepare loan files for denied loan applications, update insurance and various loan ticklers, perform collateral maintenance, and review incoming mail for loan related items (i.e. payments, payoff checks, post-closing loan documents etc.).

* Carry out responsibilities with professionalism and respect for others in accordance with the Bank's policies.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to navigate the Bank's computer-based systems.

Education and/or Experience:

This individual must be able to perform essential loan servicing, loan documentation, and loan closing functions while providing excellent customer services. The requirements listed below are representative of the level of knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

* Two or four-year college degree or prior background in a loan closing environment or a minimum of two to three years related experience and training in the mortgage or banking industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Knowledge of loan compliance and regulatory requirements.
* Basic knowledge of loan servicing, documentation.
* Encompass LOS experience a plus.
