About the Role:
  • We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Lab Technician in the Coatings Industry.
  • The primary responsibility of this position is to support the development of solutions in a chemistry lab setting.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Mixing chemicals, testing samples, and documenting results
  • Operating with a high sense of urgency and adapting to priority changes Working effectively in a team environment and independently
  • Maintaining the highest standards of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Managing vendors, ordering materials, and cataloging supplies
  • Technical documentation and knowledge of chemical instrumentation College-level understanding of chemistry, physics, and engineering Proactive task management and basic laboratory facilitation

Education Qualification:
  • A high school diploma with 6 years of practical laboratory experience, an Associate's degree with 2 years of practical laboratory experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a scientific field is required.
  • Accreditation by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent is recognized.

Required Skills:
  • Experience in laboratory activities and basic chemical mixing
  • Vendor management skills
  • Technical documentation experience
  • Knowledge of chemical instrumentation, compatibility, handling, and storage
  • Strong laboratory skills with the ability to prioritize work
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or materials science with 0-5 years of relevant industrial experience
  • Strong laboratory skills with the ability to prioritize work on multiple tasks and projects
  • Experience in formulation and application testing of water-based binders
  • Ability to complete laboratory experiments, interpret results, and design follow-up experiments
  • Experience in building envelope, construction adhesives, and/or nonwovens industry is a bonus
