Hybrid - Sr. Clinician Case Management Behavioral Health Crisis Respite

The CCA Sr Clinician Behavioral Health Community Crisis Stabilization provides direct services and varied administrative supports at the CCS S/he will carry a small case load based on daily census and will supervise the Mental Health Workers in providing direct care including admission, treatment planning, running groups, case management, and discharge. S/he ensures safety of all clients through provision of as needed 1:1 supervision, and proactively addressing escalating behaviors

* Works with the CCS Nurse Manager (who may be employed by a partner organization) to provide clinical oversight to CCS Mental Health Workers in how they conduct and document admissions, treatment plans, client daily documentation, and discharge summaries.
* Ensure that the unit follows the daily schedule of program activities, client meetings, and groups. Oversight of therapeutic groups as leader, co-leader, and observer.
* Ensure that individualized treatment needs are addressed.
* Review of crisis unit's group program on an ongoing basis and implement changes to program as considered appropriate.
* Assist by providing instructions and support for member's admitted with complicated aftercare needs.
* Maintains effective working relationships with DMH, ESP's, local community resources, and treatment/rehabilitation programs throughout the Greater Boston community.
* Participate in daily rounds with multidisciplinary team and organizes follow up of identified issues for the unit and for the individual clients.
* Ensure that weekend covering staff are trained in daily workflows in processes in collaboration with supervisor of acute services.
* Ensures that safety protocols are routinely reviewed and followed consistently by all staff (such as emergency systems; identification and remedy of facility safety hazards; security systems; lock up of sharps and any potential toxins; hazardous waste management; checks protocols, checking vitals protocols, etc).
* Performs all other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.
* Clinical oversight of Mental Health Workers in program activities, Master's level students, and covering CSC clinician staff
* Provide clinical care to members via telehealth technologies (video, chat, etc.) for a clinically appropriate clinical care and care management services.

Working Conditions:

* Must be willing to work in a non-locked behavioral health setting;
* Periodic need to travel to meetings at other sites.
* Valid Drivers License

Qualification:

* Master's Degree required
* LCSW,LICSW or LMHC license in MA
* 2-5 years acute care management experience
* Minimally 2 years' experience working in an acute mental health setting with experience with individuals with addiction.
* LICSW/LMHC in the relevant jurisdiction for the job duties
* Demonstrated skills in working as an effective team player in a fast-paced unit.
* Demonstrated supervisory experience and familiarity with a range of behavioral health systems complexity including but not limited to continuum of care and resources
* Excellent writing, computer, and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to provide leadership
* Ability to identify problems and initiate solutions to problems
* Ability to work with people in crisis in a hopeful and compassionate manner and model this for others
* Ability to work independently
* Willing to learn and utilize telehealth technologies (video, chat, etc.), when appropriate, for a variety of clinical care and care management services.
* English required required, Bilingual preferred (Spanish)

* Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. Employee must also be able to climb at least two flights of stairs.
