We have immediate openings for current or retired teachers to score Latin .

Key benefits

* Scoring the Texas Educator Certification Examinations provides educators with a unique opportunity to network with peers, support their profession, and stay up to date with current practices and content.


* Scorers are provided with the opportunity to learn a process for evaluating responses to performance assignments, effectively and fairly.


* Scorers are provided with a thorough orientation to the methodology of how to score responses and gain valuable assessment skills in the process.


* All scoring is done during the day remotely via Teams. Scoring sessions are conducted 4 times a year for one day and scorers are scheduled based on their availability.


* Compensation is hourly at $17.50 per hour.



Overall Responsibilities

* Evaluates teacher certification candidate responses to constructed-response items in a reliable manner and scores according to supplied scoring guide.


* Successfully internalizes training and participates in discussions.


* Meets quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program.


* May be required to pass qualifying test before scoring.



Qualifications

* Conferred a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an Accredited College or University.


* Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a Texas school.


* Taught the specific content field being scored within the past 3 years in a Texas school.


* Valid and current Texas certification required.


* Must reside in the state of Texas.


* Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse).


* Ability to sit for extended periods of time.


* Ability to maintain a confidential work environment.


* Eligible to work in the United States.
