This is an onsite Intel Contract Employee (ICE) position at our Chandler campus in Chandler, Arizona.

The I/C and LSS Project Engineers are highly valued and are relied on to provide technical leadership in their area of expertise. They are one of the first to be consulted for any major construction project related to I/C and LSS Integration.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Early in the project, assess feasibility of new projects.
* Later in the project, develop more detailed scope through field walks and collaboration with facilities operations partners and project engineers from other disciplines.
* During detailed design and construction, serve as the Owner's representative to provide technical guidance and issue resolution.
* Manage performance of the Integrators Architectural and Engineering/Owners design Consultant vendor in their disciplines.
* Develops discipline scope and engineering solutions which include schedule, budget, and safety requirements for assigned construction projects.
* Leads interdisciplinary coordination efforts and collaborates closely with other disciplines to ensure delivery of a complete, approved, coordinated scope across a project.
* Interface and coordinate with contract design, construction, scheduling, and estimating resources.
* Interface with facilities staff and project managers to enable facility design efforts for their area of expertise.
* Define design criteria, lead scope definition and justification, develop design concepts, and oversee completion of positioning, programming, and detailed design.
* Ensures accuracy of estimating tied to scope of work and linkage to project schedules.
* Have strong knowledge of Intel's master specifications and standards yet use our change process to improve those standards and drive innovative solutions.
* Establishes and submits process requirements to be met when designing and acquiring LSS equipment.
* Managing system capacity, reliability and uptime as well as all documentation required to safely operate our LSS system.
* This position includes design and construction support for Fire/Evacuation, Early Warning Smoke Detection, Liquid Leak Detection, Tool Annunciation System (TAS), and Hazardous Production Material (HPM) alarm systems and detection equipment.
* PLC programming and troubleshooting for the HPM and TAS system and associated I/O point management, implementing, tracking and managing continuous improvement projects.
* Development of project budgets, schedules, and safety requirements and performing conceptual I/C engineering analysis for multiple scenarios that can include high level schedule and/or budget development to help customers and stakeholders make critical business decisions based on time and cost constraints. Proficiency with reading and interpreting construction contract documents is a must.
* Build and drive safety Culture of Care in every business environment, office to the construction sites, and from front-end planning to construction execution.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other related field with 4+ years of experience in the following:

* Knowledge, understanding, and interpretation of engineering documentation (P and IDs, Sequence of Operations, Engineering Specifications and Design Standards).
* PLC-based control system architecture, especially Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley and Siemens PCS 7.
* Relevant building code or a regulatory requirement such as National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and troubleshooting skills.
* Applied knowledge of Instrument and Control (I/C) and Life Safety Systems or Building Monitoring System (BMS) design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge /understanding of control methods for process systems.
* 2+ years of practical experience with scripting, high-level computer languages, servers, operating systems, databases, and networking.
* 2+ years of experience designing instrumentation for life safety system
* 1+ year of experience in Hardware and software programming knowledge of PLC's.
* 1+ year of experience of IT/SCADA networks.
* 1+ year of experience in controls systems. Experience can be obtained via coursework and/or internship.
* 1+ year of experience of standard industrial Mechanical, Electrical and Process (MEP) systems to be able to interact, plan and coordinate the activities of MEP engineers and technicians in support of troubleshooting and/or integrating control changes to their system to achieve the required results.
* 1+ year of experience developing, designing, testing, and commissioning new control systems. Skills to develop instrumentation installation drawings, data sheets, P/ID drawings for control systems and PLC\SCADA interface systems in full compliance with recognized industry standards, safety standards, and client specifications.
