Seasonal Neuro/Interventional Radiologic Technologist- Call Required

Education: Two (2) Years of College.
Experience / Qualifications: Current State of Florida license. Current ARRT. American Heart Association BLS, for Heath Care Provider. 2 years' clinical training. Minimum 1 year Neuro-Interventional experience required. Proficient computer skills. Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing. Must be able to take call.
Position Summary
The neuro-interventional technologist will assist in routine diagnostic, highly complex invasive neuro, and peripheral interventions. The technologist will assist in performing many neuro-interventional surgical procedures such as cerebral aneurysm coils, avascular malformations, and stroke interventions. The neuro-interventional technologist is required to be competent in a wide variety of procedures referred by oncology, trauma, urology, gastroenterology, and nephrology. The neuro-interventional technologist must follow established protocols and guidelines for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. The neuro-interventional technologist demonstrates an excellent knowledge of the human anatomy & pathology and can use this knowledge to provide quality imaging for interpretation. Will be responsible for ordering and stocking of supplies utilized in Special Procedures and the Biplane. Must have a thorough understanding of aseptic technique. Must be able to scrub and/or circulate in the Special Procedure and Biplane suites, have a thorough knowledge of catheters, anatomy, positioning, and techniques used in angiography and related work.
