Job Overview:

The Processing Technician is responsible for the daily activities of the Central Sterile Processing Department which includes all aspects of the decontamination and sterilization processes.

Qualifications:

Required:

* High school diploma or equiv.
* SPD Technician certification

Scheduling Requirements:

* Evening Shift
* Per Diem
* Schedule may vary based on the needs of the department

Essential Functions:

* Identifies criteria for selecting method of disinfection and/or sterilization by following manufacturer s recommendations
* Uses correct and safe technique in the use of the equipment according to the specific product information and Community Medical Center policies and procedures
* Assists associates in completion of their duties and functions as a cooperative active member of the health care team
* Performs all other duties as assigned
