Position Summary: This position is responsible for sorting; arranging in order; shelving returned materials; and maintaining and retrieving material in all formats at a branch location.

Duties:

* Sorts and shelves books, magazines, pamphlets, audiovisual materials and other materials accurately for branch.
* Provides proactive customer service by assisting with directional and simple reference questions.
* Retrieves materials for customer holds and processes requests from other agencies.
* Assists with merchandising.
* Shelf reads according to schedule for accurate order of materials.
* Shifts and straightens materials as necessary.
* Searches for misplaced or lost materials.
* Assists with weeding, as assigned.
* Pulls materials requiring mending or binding.
* Assists with training for new Shelvers as directed.
* Assists with processing donations.
