SUMMARY:

ProFarm Group (PFG) is a subsidiary of Bioceres Crop Solutions, a global provider of biologically derived fertilizers, inoculants, crop traits, adjuvants, biostimulants and pesticides, serving the ever-expanding agricultural markets. PFG focuses on discovering, developing, and marketing nature-derived biostimulants, as well as pest management products from microbes and plant extracts for the effective control of invertebrate pests, weeds, and plant diseases.

We are seeking an experienced scientist in design, planning, execution, analysis and presentation of biostimulant and crop nutrition based agricultural inputs.He/She will be part of our R&D team responsible for innovation, development and testing of Pro Farm's products and new formulations. He/She will be the technical and scientific lead of formulation development including both processes and methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Essential Functions:
  • Detailed understanding of core technologies, products, and production processes.
  • Innovation, development, and formulation of new formulations.
  • Optimization and modification of existing products.
  • Studies and research related to the technology and science of Pro Farm's technologies.
  • Design and lead chemical and physical studies.
  • Define objectives, protocols and methodologies for formulation development and testing.
  • Analyse and produce reports and summaries of trials, experiments, and findings.
  • Lead laboratory and greenhouse safety management.
  • Managing and coordinating activities in in-house testing facilities.
  • Managing and coordinating 3rd party research activities.
  • Continuous improvement and development of in-house facilities, such as laboratories and greenhouse.
  • Method development and validation of in-house experiments and trials. Innovation of new studies, parameters, and screening methods.
  • Provide scientific and technical support to different stakeholders, such as sales, regulatory and marketing -team.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:
  • Degree in a relevant field of Scientific or Engineering discipline. MSc or higher Degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Plant science, Biochemistry or related field of science
  • +5 years of industry experience in R&D, formulation or product development
  • Past experience developing and testing agrochemicals and understanding plant physiology is considered as a major bonus
  • Strong experience with laboratory safety management
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • Proactive, analytical and problem-solving mentality.
