Senior Formulation Technician

Job Description

The Formulation Technician will lead, execute, and support formulation and process development of in-house products and CDMO projects, technology transfer to Manufacturing locations, and execute batches for clinical supplies and for Regulatory submissions.

• Proficiency operates, disassemble, assemble, and clean equipment like blenders/Mixure, tablets compression machine, roller compactor, tablets auto coater, granulators, encapsulator etc.
• Complete the skills inventory in the department and have coordination with another department to fulfill R&D's requirements.
• Uses computer to read reviews and train on SOPs
• Build productive, trusting respectful relationships at all levels in organization must constancy act as a team player.
• Completing all necessary paperwork and inspects the order in accordance with Quality Assurance procedures
• Attention to fine detail and to work to deadlines, adhering to strict customer requirements
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and simple division
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Basic Technical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot
• Cleaning equipment
• Assisting in training new employees - non-supervisory
• Monitoring machines
• Wearing all necessary PPE correctly daily
• Perform other duties defined as business needs within R&D.
• Monitor and maintain R&D equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues to minimize downtime and ensure equipment is functioning within specifications

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience working in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of R&D and cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and Batch Records.
• Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
