VCA Amherst Animal Hospital in Monroe, Virginia is seeking a highly experienced Veterinarian to lead our tenured DVM team as Medical Director.
We are a well-established and growing small animal practice. Our goal is to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary health care to our community.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated veterinarian to continue practicing medicine while establishing the direction and medical quality of the hospital like a practice owner. Plus, you'll have the solid backing of experts in Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, Payroll, and more, to help you succeed.
Monroe is about five miles north of Lynchburg, Virginia, which has a tradition of outstanding public education and operates one of the top school systems in the state. A city with significant cultural, educational, and recreation opportunities, Lynchburg operates 12 parks, 24 playgrounds, eight community centers, an Olympic-size pool, 34 tennis courts, and 26 baseball diamonds. Recreational opportunities include:
* Hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains or on the Appalachian Trail.
* Swimming and boating on Smith Mountain Lake, one of the country's largest human-made bodies of water.
* Skiing at nearby Wintergreen Resort.
* Taking in a minor-league baseball game at the city-managed stadium.
