Summary:#Under the direction of the Environmental Services Supervisor, and according to established procedures, is responsible for performing housekeeping duties.# Moving furniture, equipment, and supplies, in and around hospital departments; and performing a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.#### ########### Education: ### High School Diploma or GED preferred. Experience: General hospital-related housekeeping experience preferred. Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of cleaning products and ability to follow instructions on containers, materials and cleaning equipment, health and safety practices. Ability to utilize proper body mechanics. Ability to use industrial powered equipment. Ability to utilize sound interpersonal skills when interacting and taking into consideration cultural background, linguistic skills and age of customers. Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently and be self-motivated, work effectively under timelines; follow oral or written instructions. Maintains information confidential (HIPAA) Demonstrated customer service skills Ability to utilize responsive customer service skills when interacting and taking into consideration cultural background, linguistic skills and age of customers Ability to work cooperatively with peers and other disciplines Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with peers and other interdisciplinary teams Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Visual acuity and hand dexterity.# Physical ability involves a variety of body movements including stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting, standing, walking, climbing, twisting, stretching and reaching.# Physical ability involves pushing, pulling and lifting more than 50 lbs.
