Who We Serve
Pacific Clinics serves children, transitional age youth, families, adults, and older adults. We offer a full range of mental and behavioral health services, foster care and social services, housing, continuing adult education and early childhood education programs to Medi-Cal eligible individuals and families throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Orange, Placer, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Solano, Stanislaus, Stockton, Tulare and Ventura Counties.
Mobile Crisis services for Solano County will include the provision of emergency crisis intervention services to Solano County residents - both youth and adults - who are acutely suicidal, homicidal, or gravely disabled. Services include phone crisis screening and triage; in-person crisis evaluation and crisis intervention services; and linkage to an appropriate level of follow-up service including, but not limited to, referring individuals to the crisis stabilization unit (CSU) or a local emergency department (ED).The Mobile Crisis Unit will deliver - in partnership with local law enforcement, the CSU, local EDs, and Solano County Behavioral Health (SCBH) - a coordinated system of crisis services.

Program
JOB SUMMARY
Works within the vision, mission, and philosophy of the agency, and with limited supervision, provides comprehensive safety risk assessments, clinical interventions for crisis de-escalation, safety planning, hospitalization facilitation, case management, and coordination of therapeutic activities in the community. This position may work jointly with police officers and community supports in de-escalation and ensuring safety. Ensures that documentation and maintenance of clinical records is completed per appropriate standards and regulations. Provides facilitation and support to enhance the efforts of individuals and their families/caregivers in the design and implementation of evidence-based treatment. This position works directly with high at-risk individuals in person who are presenting as a danger to themselves, danger to others, or gravely disabled. This position supports community callers as part of a 24/7 program to also offer phone consultation, coaching, de-escalation, and resources. Leads and facilitates cross-functional teams, provides community outreach (trainings/presentations) and supports other mental health workers. Responsible for the completion and maintenance of clinical and administrative documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Demonstrates mastery of the Crisis Clinician I job description.
2. Applies advanced use of assessment information in development of the treatment plan and applies information and resources to ensure quality care.
3. Applies advanced skill in acquisition and application of clinically related information to effectively intervene with individuals and families
4. Understands and applies multi-modal approaches and perspectives to therapeutic direction.
5. Provides coaching and mentoring of others in the implementation of EBPs.
6. Leads problem solving interaction and work with external customers.
7. Maintains audit ready charts and audits charts independently
8. Provides observations and feedback to supervisor in order to monitor and/or modify programs or approaches.
9. Provides community-based trainings
10. Actively participates in the identification of team opportunities for improvement or identification of deficiencies and in the development of strategies to address or bridge gaps.
11. Leads Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and project implementation.
12. Performs other related responsibilities, as assigned, to support specific department/business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
* Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Social Work or a closely related field (e.g., Marriage, Child and Family Counseling or Psychology).
* Three (3) years of supervised clinical experience with children and or adults.
OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Strong leadership and crisis management skills.
If program requires, employee must pass an initial physical abilities test (PATS) and be certified in crisis intervention techniques within the first 30 days and annually.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Licensed according to California state law (Welfare and Institutions Code section 5600.2)
* Four (4) to five (5) years of clinical experience with children, or adults
* Experience with Wraparound plans and development of ICFPs.
* Crisis management experience preferred.
* Training in domestic violence, physical/sexual child and elder abuse, with the competency to maintain current knowledge related to state, county, and local law.
* Self-defense training to react/respond to harmful and violent physical situations.
